Elyx Tactical is a federally licensed firearms dealer, gunsmith and manufacturer working out of Knoxville, Tennessee – serving East Tennessee in person and the rest of the country by mail.
OUR STORY
BUILT ON A BENCH, NOT IN A BOARDROOM
Elyx Tactical started the way most good shops do – one person, one bench, and a growing list of people who wanted work done properly instead of quickly.
What began as builds and repairs for friends turned into a licensed operation covering sales, gunsmithing, transfers and manufacturing. We kept the part that mattered: you talk to the person who does the work, and nobody tries to sell you something you do not need.
Today we run a live distributor catalog so you can order anything from a case of range ammo to a complete build, shipped anywhere in the country. But the bench is still here, and it is still where the interesting work happens.

COMPLIANCE FIRST
Every sale, transfer and serialized build is run by the book - federally and under Tennessee law. No shortcuts, no favours.
HONEST INVENTORY
Our catalog is fed from real distributor stock. If it says in stock, it ships. We do not list what we cannot get.
WORK DONE RIGHT
Nothing leaves the bench until it has been checked. If a job needs more than we quoted, you hear about it before we do it.
STRAIGHT ANSWERS
We shoot what we sell. If the cheaper option is the better call for how you will use it, that is what we will tell you.
WHO WE SERVE
KNOXVILLE IN PERSON, EVERYWHERE ELSE BY MAIL
If you are local, book an appointment and we will handle it face to face – a transfer, a repair, a build consultation, or just picking up an order. If you are not, everything in the catalog ships nationwide, with firearms routed through a licensed dealer near you.
- In person: Knoxville, Farragut, Maryville, Alcoa, Oak Ridge, Powell, Halls and the surrounding East Tennessee area.
- By mail: all 50 states, subject to state and local law. Firearms ship to your chosen FFL.
- By appointment: so you are never waiting behind a counter queue.
THE LEGAL SIDE, PLAINLY
Elyx Tactical operates under a Federal Firearms License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. That license covers our retail sales, our transfer service and the serialized work we do on the bench.
- All transfers run through NICS before release.
- Bound book maintained and available for inspection.
- Serialized manufacturing marked and logged as required.
- We reserve the right to refuse any sale at our discretion.
